The Thursday Ten #7
10 things I unequivocally require for my life to feel complete. Fashion, beauty and homeware.
Had quite a busy old week - am back from my trip to see my husband in Los Angeles (visit somewhat scuppered by JetBlue screwing up my flight to NYC to see friends) and have arrived home to a new season. September is my favourite month of the year - and I am brimming with motivation to get myself in gear. Between now and Christmas is super busy work wise, so I’m doing my best to get in front of it all and get all housekeeping done. I’m also it turns out, really into shopping for autumn. I have a million tabs open on my desktop, I’ve bought quite a few things… Here are some of them…
A few notes… If you missed the Aligne waistcoat, or the ASOS dupe then I’d imagine you’ll be interested in this £45 baby from the team at John Lewis. It fits like a dream (size down)… I thought I’d found “my” jeans (the Free People Barrel Jean, here). But when it came to finding a light blue pair I became a little stuck. I have the COS Arch Jean in indigo, but I wanted a paler pair. Then I spotted these from Abercrombie and Fitch (turns out they offer a lot more than loincloths for Gen Zs) and they’re PERFECT.
Interiors wise I have two things to say. Firstly, the Sophie Conran x John Lewis collaboration is outstanding (the chair is one of a few pieces in the range and I love it all). The second is that the plate is perfect and we all need it. It’s a bread plate, we need carbs to help us “grow” for winter to keep us warm. Let’s do it with the help of lovely crockery.
